What's the difference between joining the site and becoming a Golden Link Member?

A:

Joining the site allows you to sign up to purchase tickets online, receive emails to let you know about upcoming concerts, events, the Turtle Hill Folk Festival, etc. Becoming a paid member also gives you the monthly newsletter, reduced prices at concerts and the Festival, access to the media library, and more. What's the difference between a Single and a Family Membership?

A:

A “Single” membership entitles you to membership benefits for yourself. A Family membership entitles all the members of your immediate family to those same benefits. For example, all of your family will receive discounted ticket prices at our events. Note: to access member benefits on our web site, members of your family would have to log in to the account of the membership holder. 

Can I have a second account on the website for my family member?

 

A:

We discourage that because there is no benefit to it. If you are a paid Golden Link member with a Family membership, a second account for your family member will NOT allow them to access your member benefits. Your family member will have to log into the account of the membership holder to access member benefits. So having a second account adds to confusion when we need to look up your information for any reason.

Why can't I log into my account on the website?

A:

Your account is associated with your email address. If your email address has changed, you'll have to log in with the old address and change the email address in your account profile. If you've forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page. This will send an email to the address in your account, allowing you to reset your password. If you need further help, email the webmaster using our “Webmaster” link at the bottom of all our web pages. 

I try to use a Member page or buy Member tickets, but get sent back to login page.

A:

This usually means that the site is not recognizing you as a paid member.  One possibility is that you "Joined" our site, but did not purchase a membership.  See the first question above to learn more about the differences.  The other possibility is that our records for your membership are incorrect.  If you purchased your membership in person at a concert or singaround, or through the mail, we have to enter the information into our site manually, so there is always the chance for a mistake to occur.  In that case, please contact our webmaster using the link at the bottom of any page so we can correct the problem.

I'm part of a Family membership, and logged into my account. Why can't I get to the member pages (e.g. Sign up for Members Showcase Concert, buy tickets at reduces prices, volunteer for the festival etc.)?

A:

A membership, even a Family membership, is associated with only one account on the website. To access any membership benefits, you must be logged into the account of the membership holder. If you have your own account, separate from the membership holder, you won't have access to member benefits when you're logged into your own account. If you need further help, email the webmaster using our “Webmaster” link at the bottom of all our web pages. 

Why do I have to be a paid Golden Link member to volunteer at the Festival?

A:

Those who volunteer for enough hours at the Festival can get some or all of their ticket paid for. This is a benefit of membership so it is restricted to Golden Link members. However, if you'd like to volunteer but aren't sure you want to pay for a membership, contact our Festival Director directly using the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of all our web pages. Usually, some arrangement can be made.
