Hesperus

HOUSE CONCERT

4/22/02

This was a "sleeper" concert, in that many of the attendees had not previously heard of Hesperus and did not know what to expect, but all were impressed by the quality and variety of the music and the excellence of the presentation. Hesperus is comprised of Scott Reiss, playing Hammered Dulcimer, various wind instruments and percussion (including a spoon and stove burner support), Tina Chancey, playing various bowed instruments and wind instruments, and Bruce Hutton, playing guitars, banjos, banjo mandolin, ukulele, mountain dulcimers, kazoo and mouth bow. There was a jam following the concert, in lieu of the normal singaround.
