Jeff Warner

with Barbara Benn

HOUSE CONCERT

6/12/03

Some pre-concert discussion.

Jeff entertained us superbly with a wide variety of songs and instrumental accompaniment, and was joined on some songs by his friend Barbara Benn, who provided marvelous, tight harmonies. The origins of the songs ranged from rural North Carolina to New Hampshire, from Upstate New York to the British Isles, and they included songs of the sea, farming, logging and human relationships. The audience, as is usually the case with Golden Linkers, was not bashful about joining in on the choruses, and sometimes the verses as well. This was a wonderful way to spend an evening.
