LUI COLLINS
HOUSE CONCERT
This concert, as expected, was a real treat. Lui engaged the audience with a variety of songs, stories and poems, the latter from a book of her poems that is in the final stages of pre-publication. She accompanied herself with two guitars and a banjo, and succeeded in involving the audience in singing along to the point that she had to playfully ask us to tone it down to avoid drowning her out.
The sing-around which followed was also well-attended by an enthusiastic and participatory group, and it went on well into the evening.
