"Listen to the bass, it’s the one on the bottom . . ." - All God’s Critters, by Bill Staines
We’re betting you’ve sometimes wondered what it’s like to play bass—
and what it can do for folk music. Bill Chandler will show you the fundamentals in this workshop. If you don’t play bass, you can try it out (he’s generously planning to provide the opportunity). If you do play upright bass or bass guitar, acoustic or electric, come and join the conversation.
Bill is currently president of Golden Link and plays bass in several settings. He also plays piano with the Vintage Jazz Band with Eastman Community School’s New Horizons program. Bill has 35 years’ experience as a music teacher, so be sure to bring tough questions!
