Using a microphone on stage is not as straightforward as it may seem. This workshop, hosted by Dan Kuchta and Doug Green, will help you learn how to sound your best and get the most out of your performance when using a mic. Learn about mic technique, placement, different mic types such as condenser vs. dynamic, microphone pickup patterns, and more.
Working with the sound technician is another big part of getting your best sound out to the audience. The workshop will go over what the sound system can do for you and how to interact with the sound technician to make sure you sound great.
Whether you're an individual performer, a duet, or a larger group, using your own small mixer to create and control your own sound is often desirable. Learn how to use a simple, inexpensive mixer when running your own sound setup, and how it can enhance your performance and take your sound to the next level.
The workshop will be held on a
Monday at Greece Baptist Church, in the Parlor room at the rear, to allow us to use amplified sound demonstrations. You'll get a chance to try it out yourself and learn by doing! This has been a popular workshop in the past so sign up soon to be sure to get a spot!
Registration $8 Online Only.
Workshop seats are limited so be sure to register (online only) by Saturday, November 18 at midnight. For questions, contact our Education Coordinator.
