Golden Link presents an online concert with
Rochester Music Hall of Fame inductee Christine Lavin

Rochester, NY – Golden Link presents an online concert with Christine Lavin, known as a witty songwriter-storyteller with a flair for the creative, the dramatic, and the humorous. Currently based in New York City, she grew up in Geneva, NY, and was inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame in 2019. Lavin will perform a live streaming concert for Golden Link on Saturday, March 6 at 7:30 pm. The concert will be streamed on Golden Link’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Christine Lavin is particularly known for her sense of humor and for engaging the audience during her live performances. Her song topics range from relationships, longing, and family to planets, travel, and food, all with her special eye for detail and finding humor in everyday life.

Her 25th album, On My Way to Hooterville, was released in 2020 and includes 10 new songs and one re-worked song, “Ramblin’ Waltz,” that is a re-telling of her time in 1975 when she was one of the entourage drivers for the first week of the tour of The Rolling Thunder Revue.

After her set, Lavin has invited two musicians to join her for a song swap and “after-party.” David Ippolito is known as “That Guitar Man of Central Park” and appeared on Christine’s latest album on a song she wrote about him. Toronto-based songwriter Kat Goldman has written songs recorded by The Duhks and Dar Williams and has released four critically acclaimed albums.

No ticket is needed to watch the concert or after-party, but audience members are encouraged to support the musicians by contributing something to their tip jar.

“Lavin’s hilarious, insightful story-songs always have a twist, they’re perfectly complemented by tuneful folk melodies, and they’ll make you forget just about any problems you have.”
