So you wanna perform at the Turtle Hill Festival? Write a song about Golden Link! If you’ve been waiting for a good excuse to finally write that amazing song about how special Golden Link is, wait no more! In this workshop, presented by Joe LaMay & Al Power, you will learn the nuance of successful songwriting from two well respected songwriters who have been part of songwriting circles for decades. Joe’s songs have been covered by bluegrass, folk, and Americana musicians. He also writes with Sherri Reese. The duo have performed all over the country and now run a coffeehouse - 77 West Main in Macedon. Al Power has written songs that have been performed and recorded by legends like Peter, Paul & Mary; Priscilla Herdman and Anne Hills. He has toured with Anne Hills and collaborated on songs with her, as well. You’ll have an opportunity to premiere your song at the Golden Link Summer Picnic and the winner will open the Saturday Night Concert at the Turtle Hill Festival!
